Totally Rad Tuesday!

Tuesday's don't really hold the same meaning when I'm not in classes; it's just a really long work day.
So last week I had the opportunity to learn a few cool new things! In those few things I was re-introduced to an artist slash song I have always loved.Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to pass on the love of Ray LaMontagne. His voice sounds like air.
Let me share some love to get you through the grind.

Ray LaMontagne-"Jolene"

If you EVER have the chance to see this wonderful man live-take it. He is intoxicating.
Enjoy your Tuesday cyber peoples!

Masked Madness

I have a love affair with masks.

Trust me-I am fully aware of how crazy that sounds but give me but a few minutes and you will be on board my train.

Watch this video.
Now, lets move past the fact that he is a beautiful man and can play the piano like a god. Focus on the dancers. I resent the fact that we live in a day where masked balls are nonexistent. They are haunting, beautiful and mysterious. I'm a total romantic when it comes to masks.
Time for show and tell!
A mask and peacock feathers! Could it get better?

Would it be strange to get married in a mask instead of a veil? Discuss.

 I need friends like this.

My favorite scene in a truly beautiful movie. Can we bring this back please?

On that note-I'm throwing around the idea of having a masked party for New Years. I think it would be so fun! Also, I want to start building a collection of masks. Picture this- black shadow boxes strategically placed over a wall containing beautiful, vibrant and mismatched masks! I also have a cool photo project planned...more later.

Enjoy your Sunday!!

Totally Rad Tuesday!

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I listen to Rihanna slash Drake. It's catchy and to be quite honest her whole album (Loud) is pretty good. I'm kind of diggin this vibe today.

I don't have much to say about it however I have very little interest in getting cozy in a convenient store...

Now everyone go have a listen and sing along, as I know you will! I hope everyone is having a Totally Rad Tuesday and no one is forgetting your name!

Most Wonderful Time of Year!

I am finally back. Finals are over for the while and I can breathe (and post) again...and I have a lot to post.
Starting at Halloween I adore this time of year! Now that we are past Thanksgiving and into December it is finally time for CHRISTMAS!!! I love everything about it. The smells, the tastes, the lights, the cold, the food, the music, the decorations, the scarves, the boots, the music, the family....I could really keep going.

Last year this time I was packing and headed to Scotland. I spent Christmas and New Years there and I don't know if much could top it. If I could afford it I would go back tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken they had record breaking cold and snow (until this year). Now, keep in mind I get cold in 80 degree weather and went entirely unprepared...
I've never enjoyed frozen fingers and toes more.

Fair warning: Lots of pictures coming.
If anyone can tell me where I can get a hot chocolate like this state side...I foresee a road trip to find it.

This was by far the BEST burger I have ever had. I about froze to death while eating it but the perfectly cooked Aberdeen beef, melted cheese, caramelized onions, with a semi-sweet jelly to boot was heaven for the taste buds.

My favorite ornament in his house or mine.

The people I was staying with live right by the beach. For some reason I have always loved the beach in the winter. Its romantic.

My favorite snack over there. Cheese, crackers and cucumber-just like the hot chocolate and burger, it just doesn't taste the same here.

New Years Eve. So much fun...and oh yeah, he wore the kilt.

The Hogmanay Street Party. It was amazing. Some 80,000 people congregate on Princes Street to watch fireworks, listen to music, drink and ring in the new year.

Photos are finally over. Oh...dear Scotland, take me back. There are still so many things I want to do over there.  Where is the coolest place you've spent Christmas or New Years?
